ADVANTAGES OF A POLYETHYLENE BOAT
Polyethylene refers to ethylene polymers. This material is simple, easy to manufacture, easy to work with, recyclable, strong, and can be used to create multiple shapes for various purposes.
ROTOMOD uses high-density polyethylene dyed in the mass, also known as compound, for its boats. The transformation technique used is rotational molding.
The advantages of this method and of the polyethylene thus processed are therefore :
- Impact and abrasion resistance: your kayak rubs, hits, and bangs, but does not puncture.
- Repairable: weld using polyethylene identical to that of the kayak with a hot air gun (Leister).
